Imagine Me : A Review

Book title: Imagine Me

Author: Tahereh Mafi

My rating: 5/5 stars

Favourite quote :

Blurb:

Juliette Ferrars.

Ella Sommers.

Which is the truth and which is the lie?

Now that Ella knows who Juliette is and what she was created for, things have only become more complicated. As she struggles to understand the past that haunts her and looks to a future more uncertain than ever, the lines between right and wrong—between Ella and Juliette—blur. And with old enemies looming, her destiny may not be her own to control.

The day of reckoning for the Reestablishment is coming. But she may not get to choose what side she fights on.

My Review :

Shatter me has been one of my favourite series after I found it on a library shelf last year. When reading the last book of the series, I felt a little sad as I will never get to read the book for the first time again. But, sadness aside, here are some reasons I really liked Imagine me.

The author of the book made it very descriptive so when you start reading the book it seems like you have gone to another world and that you are part of the story. The author uses a lot of metaphors some that I have never heard before. For example “I can almost see him in my mind, a blurred form, watercolors bleeding through my membrane.” Juliette Ferrars

In the book, Imagine me I thought that characters were very well developed. The author was so descriptive about the characters. It was as if the characters were my best friend. I felt knew each character inside and out. I knew each one of their weaknesses and their strength, and I knew when they were hiding a secret from one and other.

I liked the characters in the book. I liked Warner/Aaron who was tough but had a good side. Kenji who hid his real feelings behind a smile. I liked Juliette who still dared to go on even though she was hit down more times than she could count. I liked James who could smile after everything he had been through. And finally, I liked Adam who would sacrifice anything for his brother.

Overall I think the book Imagine me was really good and I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading.

Question of this post: Would you rather have invisibility, supernatural strength or the ability to absorb other people’s power and use it for a short time.

That’s it !  Stay safe and healthy ?

I've never heard of the book but it sounds really good. My answer to your question is invisibility. Sometimes I really would like to be invisible.

I think mine would be the ability to absorb other people’s power and use it for a short time.

My brother calls the last power sponge, which I think is funny, though I would prefer to have invisibility. I've never really read this series because the names didn't interest me very much, but I am curious. I think I'll borrow the first from our school library when I get back!

Ooooh sounds interesting! *adds to tbr mountain*
I'd probably want to absorb people's power and use it for a bit... But then again... What if everybody else doesn't have powers...

I never thought about that . In that case , I would like my ability to be the power of invisibility.
